Looking for something in particular
you don't see in the menu sections? You
may search our site for specific words here!
The above site
search tool is the one provided with Microsoft
FrontPage. Your server must be configured
properly with FrontPage extensions in order
for it to work, and you can not control the
output nor the pages searched. If you
are serious about an excellent site search for
your web, we recommend the MySearch product
sold through Thomas Brunt's
OutFront.net:
MySearch For Sites
Hosted on Windows NT or Windows 2000.
The links to
returned records are named by the Title of the
page. If no title is present, the file name
will be used.
You have the
option of adding a description to the page.
This description is not shown by web browsers
(view source will show it) by will be listed
in the returned results beneath the file Title.
If you have a content rich site, this allows
the user to get a more detailed idea of the
page other than the search results.
The search can
either be limited to one (1) folder or the entire
site. Sub folders and sub webs will searched.
The search initially
places the web contents in an Access2000 database.
Folders that begin with an underscore "_" will
not be included. If you wish to hide files from
the search, they must be places in a folder
that begins with "_".
SQL server
can be used with minimal changes.
