Re:  STI University Turf Service Seminars (2007/2008)

Dear Valued STI Customer:

It’s school time once again and we would like to welcome you to this website for our upcoming seminars.  This year’s seminars will be offered from November 2007 through February 2008 with a limitation of 25 participants for each seminar on a first come basis.  We will be conducting seminars in our three major locations: Charlotte, NC / Richmond, VA / Nashville, TN.  Other satellite seminars will be added as needed.

All STI based seminars will be six hours of hands-on and visual aid teaching that will cover all aspects of subject equipment.  Each participant will receive pertinent information for performing all necessary repairs including a copy the Toro Service Reference CD-ROM.

Our STI University certification program will be offered again this year which will require four seminar credits from any of our seminar locations between November 2007 and February 2008.  Those who attend four seminars and pass the required tests will receive a “Diploma of Certification”.  All seminars will count as one credit each; previous unused credits can not be brought forward for this year’s program.

We will continue to offer EETC (Equipment & Engine Training Council) certification testing for those interested in being certified by this prestigious organization.  We will administer the testing for all seven different categories (see attached schedule).  OPEESA (Outdoor Power Equipment and Engine Service Association) will score the tests and maintain records of the test results.  They will also make available to those who pass the test the following: certificates, patches and other items to promote the technician’s achievement and professionalism.  Some of our seminars will carry recertification credit(s) for those who have received prior certification.  The registration form and fee for these tests will need to be sent to OPEESA (see attachment in this website).  Please contact us if you have any questions concerning certification or recertification.

A schedule of our seminars along with the fees, registration form and seminar descriptions are also attached.  Anyone wishing to attend a seminar should download a copy of this registration form to be completed and returned via fax or mail to the appropriate location at least 30 days prior to the desired class date or e-mail us at stiu-turf@smithturf.com.  Once approved, you will receive written confirmation by mail.  Please make sure that you include a purchase order number if your company requires one.

In addition to the seminars this year, STI is offering a Special Winter Service Program to those customers who would like to send their reels in for grinding and those requiring maintenance services to their turf equipment.   Please call your local STI Service Department for details.

We would like to see each of you get into your chosen class, so please make your decisions early and register as soon as possible.  We all look forward to seeing you again this year.

Regards,

Jim Turner
